Q. How do I set up vehicles to use in the Grain Scale Interface?
A. Trucks may be defined specifically for each desired customer. In addition, one specific customer (i.e., "Company Trucking") may be set up with trucks that would be available for use by all customers.
In both cases, the trucks are entered using the Contacts button on the customer profile. The vehicle license number is entered into the Contact Name field. The vehicle description should be entered into the Contact Address 1 field and the number of axles should be entered into the Contact Address 2 field. A contact type (i.e., "Truck") should be entered into to Contact Type field.
In the Grain Scale Interface, the contact type should be selected to match the contact type used on the customer profile (i.e., "Truck"). In addition, to enable the use of the special customer's ("Company Trucking") trucks, the customer ID for "Company Trucking" needs to be selected in the Additional Customer for Vehicle Selection box.
